{"id":42,"date":"2016-09-01T05:39:49","date_gmt":"2016-09-01T05:39:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/albanyhebrewcemetery.org\/albany_hebrew_cemetery\/?p=42"},"modified":"2018-06-06T08:47:24","modified_gmt":"2018-06-06T15:47:24","slug":"cleaning-days","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/albanyhebrewcemetery.org\/?p=42","title":{"rendered":"Cleaning Days!"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1><span style=\"color: #339966;\">Calling for all hands on deck!<\/span><\/h1>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #339966;\">We need your help to restore a National Historic site in Albany<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008000;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">WHEN:\u00a0\u00a0 Sundays,<\/span><span style=\"color: #339966;\"> September 11 &amp; 25<\/span> <span style=\"color: #000000;\">from<\/span> <span style=\"color: #339966;\">10:00am to 1:00pm<\/span><\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\"> <strong>WHERE: Albany Hebrew Cemetery<\/strong>, aka Waverly Jewish Cemetery<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\"> <strong>\u00a0 3165 SE Salem Ave, Albany, Oregon<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\"> <em>Listed on the National Historic Register as the only Jewish cemetery between Portland and Eugene\u00a0 when it was established in1877.<\/em><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\"> <strong>WHAT:<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Headstone cleaning days, held in conjunction with an Oregon State Grant, the funds of which will be used to pay for restoration of monuments in the cemetery that need professional attention.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Come for any amount of time! Your volunteer hours will count<\/strong> towards our receiving the needed funding. Cleaning supplies and experienced guidance for care of the stones will be provided.
